My workspace !!!!

Why or Why does my workspace get into such a mess!!!!! I wish i was better at tidying up as i went along, rather than leaving it all to the end!

Laughter never goes out of style!

This is one of the very rare times i have Scrapbooked a photo that i am on. This is made using paper, canvas and lace, with a few bits and bobs!

From blank................................to this!

With the above products...................................... i worked with the blank Dressform

and came up with this!!!!! This was done using Faber-Castle Gelato range and Stampers Big Brush, to colour the lace with and stamp with.

Style changes..............

I have been working with some really new mediums over the weekend and hope to post the results very soon...............these products were only launched in USA this year and i do not believe they are even for sale here in the UK yet!!! Nina at www.itscraftingtime.co.uk is looking into getting some stock in the near future if she can, i believe.

I have added some new blogs to my inspire me list and removed a couple as well...............strange how our taste changes and we move into other directions.

I like your style

My mum had a tiny little 20" waist when she was a young lady, in this Sepia photo and i wanted to try and show this in this layout by stamping all the bodyforms with tiny waists. While i was putting this layout together i realised my background of Tim Holtz old Paper ink was a little too light, i was able to add more ink without covering up the body forms i had stamped by using a technique i found in Craft stamper magazine on page 63, in there Masterclass Wax Crayons! This is also my first attempt at hand stitching round the outside of the paper with bakers twine!

Layout using lengths of paper

How to make a layout using lengths of paper

These photo's give you a basic idea to follow to make the layout above.

It is lots of 1/2 inch lengths of paper all stuck side by side, each length of paper is inked all the way round and distressed to form the base. The lace is dyed and glued on using a hot glue gun.The flowers are all glued on.
