Stampotique Designers challenge .....145 Flowers

This weeks  challenge has been set by Val, and this is what she said.....
April showers are supposed to bring May flowers, so let's add some flower power to our projects! I'll be excited to see if you stamp some flowers, create faux flowers, use a mask to create a flower background or come up with some other original idea for sprinkling a few petals on your project! So with this in mind, I found some of my flower Stampotique stamps,as they make a fabulous range, and made this picture in an old frame I had.
Here are a few step by step photo's to show you how I made this

So it's over to you to show us what you can do!

What's on my work desk Wednesday

Stampotique Designers Challenge 144 Postcard

This week the talented Sue, has set us the challenge to produce a 4x6 postcard, this is what she said.......

Good morning everyone, it's Sue here and I'm delighted to be hosting this weeks challenge. I'm sure that every crafter has had that block where their mojo has packed it's bags and gone on holiday. I know I've sat and looked at a sheet of card and had no ideas at all. One way I've got to get over this is just to decide what size or shape I want to make. So I pick a card or a tag, or in this case a postcard. Postcards are great fun and it's amazing how much you can get on a 6x4 (inches) area. So this week I would like you to make a postcard. Have Fun!

So make a project and come and join us at the SDC blog, there is a link on the right of this post!
So this is what I made for the challenge .....
And here is the back
These are the two stamps I used this week

Here are a few step by step photos to show how I made this postcard
Take some copper ( mine is Ten Second Studio's) and heat over the gas cooker, be careful it changes colour quick and gets hot! So take care

Once cool stamp on it I used this new stamp from Magda called .....and stamped using Stazon, next you need a selection of ball tools and I have a little metalwork wheel.
You work both sides of the copper ... You just need to decide with side is a "in" and which is a "out" it's that simple, so eyes I wanted to stand out from the picture so I worked on the reverse side.
You can see what I mean when I turn the copper over!
Then just follow your lines for the outline
Then I used my little wheel to make a boarder round the image ( do be careful not to leave any sharpe edges)
Then I just filled the remaining coper in with dots and patterns
Then added tape to the back and stuck it onto card stock Matt and layered it
Then stamped the sentiment, Matt and layered it and added it to the card
And that is how simple it is......

What's on my work desk Wednesday

Here is my desk from a couple of angles.... This one
And this angle...
Gives you a bit of an idea!.... Busy again!
There is a packet of Dylusions inks waiting to be opened and used, my medium art journal, here it is close up
I have been using some of my other Dylusions ink sprays, here is a picture of my floor to the right of my desk...
There are lots of Stampotique stamps I have been using and scissors, glue etc

So what's on your desk? If you would like to see other crafty desks just click on the link marked stamping ground on the right hand side a little further down.

A kind friend called in yesterday with this lovely cake she made ( only the second cake she has made) for my daughter, only hope she has the baby before the cake goes stale !!!!!!! Wednesday 23rd is her due date............... So fingers crossed !

Stampotique Designers Challenge.........143 April Showers

It's time for the next Stampotique Dsigners Challenge, this week Carol set us the challenge and this is what she said," I love the early months of the year, I only have to hear the month of April and instantly in my head, the song from Bambie is playing, and I am now humming, bom bom bom, little April showers, so use water, rain and April showers as your theame this week"

So this is what I came up with using one of the new stamps from Magda's range called Night # 5819

I also made a tag ... Using the new stamp from Janet Klein Sunflower left #9256

Stampotique Designers Challenge .......142 Pens/Paint Pens/Markers

At the Stampotique Designers blog this week Magda (http://littleeverland.blogspot.co.uk )  set us the challenge of using Pens or markers or paint pens on our project. For me this was a real challenge as I hardly ever use them. However after a little research I finally came up with this...
This is my journal calendar page, for Kate Cranes Calendar Journal group
Here is a few step by step photos how I created this journal page ..
Sprayed the page with Dylusions inks the did the title with mask and Grunge paste ( which is much thicker than Gesso)
Then sanded down the grunge paste I had added through a stencil
Put a stencil over the title and filled in the space with dots using a white marker paint pen.
Punched out my squares and inked them all and added a little corner and wrote the numbers on with a paint pen.
Stuck them into place and put a boarder round the outside and filled in with white dots......
Stamped this fabulous Stampotique snowman image from Jo Capper-Sandon
So now it's your turn to make a project using your Pen/ markers/ paint pen and join is at the Stampotique Designers Challenge ( there is a link to the right of this post, just click on it and you will be taken to the blog)

What's on my Work desk Wednesday

Here it is.....
No better than last week sadly!
I'm still busy doing samples for th new launch of Stampotique stamps on 15th, next Tuesday.
However I can show you my desk up a bit closer
The main thing is my calendar journal in the middle of my desk, I have now finished my March layout, a bit late though, will try harder and get my April finished this week. I will post it on Kate Cranes blog along with everyone else's journal calendars.
Here it is up close, you can see all the white pen I have used round the edges, I wanted it to look like snow. I started this page the Monday I came back from Birmingham stitch and Hobbycraft as it started to sleet and snow on the way home!
If you would like to visit other crafty desks then just click on the link marked Stamping Ground on the right hand side a little further down, and all will be explained.
Thank you to everyone who leaves a comment, I do try and return all comments but I am unable to reply to those use goggle plus, sorry.
