Stampotique Design Team

I was thrilled to be asked by Stampotique to join there design Team!

If you don't know much about them, click on the links on the right hand side of my blog and go have a look round!

They are a Mom and Pop small business in the USA, that hand make rubber stamps. There are around twenty artists who design the stamps, and 1,000's of stamps to choose from. They are made from Red Rubber and the quality is just the best!
You can buy from them direct, they make the stamps to order or you can buy them in shops in the UK such as Art from the Heart, The Stamp Attic or The Craft Emporium ( I have purchased from these three shops and direct)
There are some amazing people on the Design Team, from all around the world, if you have time click on them on them and have a look for yourselves.
Here are a few projects I have made using a couple of their stamps

There is such a variety of stamps you must go have a look round.
Please check back over the coming weeks and months to see how I use many more of the great and varied Stampotique stamps!
Thank you for taking the time to read this and leaving a comment.

What's on my work desk Wednesday

The light was going as I took this picture of my desk.....

Here is a bit more of a close up, you can see stamps, cards, journal, equipment etc....

To the right is a pile of Gelli prints I made this week as I had used all the pink/blue ones on the baby journal and I need more!
Here is the action of making them, this week in photos
Putting ink on Gelli Plate

Using brayer to sprees ink

Adding texture

Then take a print and leave to dry

When dry put in a heap on your desk!
A couple of sheets did not come out the right colour mix, so I added some Grunge Paste, through a stencil

Did a little stamping with some Stampotique stamps and made this, journal page!

If you like this and want to see the step by step guide it's on the post before this one
Thank you for checking out my desk this week and if you would like to visit more crafty desks please click on the link on the right hand side of my blog marked Stamping Ground, and the lovely Julia will explain all.
Thank you for leaving a comment and I will try and visit everyone who visits me.

Splat

Here is a journal page I have made using 4 stamps from Stampotique.

Can you work out where I have used the four stamps ?
Here are a few photos to show you how I achieved this layout.....
First input the acrylic paint on my Gelli Plate

Next I used my brayer to spread the paint over my Gelli Plate

I then used items such as stencils, bubble wrap and corrugated cardboard, to give texture.

Next I took a print and put the paper out to dry

Once it was dry, I then added Grunge Paste through a stencil with a pallet knife.

After it was dry I stamped it with two splat stamps from Stampotique, using Gold Staz On.

Then cut out my sentiment and edged it with gold Staz On.

After this I stamped the lovely rabbit from Maria Sabina with black Archival ink and coloured it with Prisma pencils, then blended it with blending solution and a paper stub.

After this I Matt and layered it with gold card stock, and glued all the elements down

Then....... All that was left was to add it to my journal!

I hope you like it..............
I have entered it into the Craft Stamper Magazine Challenge, if you would like to know more just go to http://craftstamper.blogspot.co.uk/2013/10/take-it-make-it-challenge-five.html
I have also entered it into the Stampotique challenge which you can find at http://stampotiquedesignerschallenge.blogspot.co.uk

What's on my work desk Wednesday

Here is my desk this week....

My craft bag on my old lazy Susan, have to say its gets more use in its craft life than it ever did for food!!! A new journal book, I rather like the size of this not to big, some paints behind it in bright neon colours and some festive colours. Ink pad and Stampotique rubber stamp of a Christmas tree in a watering can... I am planning on making a few more Christmas cards with this, this week! Some Christmas images all coloured in with my Prisma pencils, some blank cards and my draw of Stampotique rubber stamps that's out because I have just done a little coping of the images so I have a folder of what I have, I think you can see the folder in the box!
At the back it's not changed from last week!!!!

Here is a close up of all the bits on the desk

Sorry to say there is not much "done" stuff to show this week as I have been away on holiday and just returned yesterday.

If you would like to have a look round a few other crafty desks, just click on the link on the right hand side of my blog marked Stamping Ground and all will be explained by the lovely Julia.
Thank you for leaving a comment and I will try and return to everyone who leaves one!

What's on my work desk Wednesday

This is how my desk looks at this time!

Now I had to take this picture a bit early as I have to go away today and help my mother to move from her flat into a warden controlled home, so I hope Julia lets me off!

As you can see it is a dumping ground, as that is what I have been doing.....
I have been having a good old tidy up and as I found stuff I dumped it on the table to sort out and put away at the end. To prove to those sceptics that I might not really be tidying up here is a picture from a different angle ...

Note the floor is swept unlike in last weeks picture!!!!
As it's no that interesting I thought I would show you my other desk....

If you would like to visit some much more interesting desks than mine is this week then click on the link on the right hand side of my blog marked Stamping Ground for all the information.
