And here it is a bit closer....
As you can see from these photos, its a mess! My plan is to tidy up Wednesday night so I can craft on Thursday and Friday! That's the plan...

Here is my desk printing photos For my Lara albums!
I have made a couple of bits and bobs, here is a postcard I made with a new Stampotique rubber stamp designed by my friend Roc Nicholas.
And a Birthday card I made...
And that's it for this week! Rather short and sweet as I have spent most of my crafting time printing photos!
I hope to have lots to show you next week after a  couple of days crafting this week!

What's on my Work Desk Wednesday

This is how my desk looks.....
And here it is a little closer....
It has a bit of a look of ' pink and girly' about it this week!
That's because I made a set of project life cards for my Lara album, here they are.....
For those who are not sure how they are used or would look in the album here they are in situ.....
Just some Journalling to add to them! Starting to get my process together for doing the albums, thus it's getting simpler to do!
I spent a day on my albums putting photos in and adding bits and bobs! But that doesn't seem as if it would be very interesting for fellow crafters to see????? so the only other thing I have to show is this Haloween door wreath I have made to go on our front door soon....

That's it from me this week short and sweet! If you would like to visit other crafty desk, just click on the link on the right hand side of my blog a bit further down, marked Stampin Ground and Julia will explain all.
Thank you for visiting and leaving a comment I will try and return all visits.

stampotique Designers Challenge....165 just one stamp

This week at the SDC our host is  the talented Samantha, (there is a link to her blog on the right of this post) this is what Sam had to say about the challenge this week

"One of the beauties of Stampotique stamps is even though there are 18 amazing artists designing our rubbery goodness and their images work so well together it's great to use a lot of stamps for one project, I often do.

So this week, I am challenging myself too and inviting you to use just one stamp . . . wondering off scratching head and rubbing chin . . . this is going to be SO hard to choose!!

So with this in mind I went off to choose a stamp. Then I remembered a few months ago I went to visit the lovely Roc Nicholas one of the stamp designers for Stampotique and she gave me one of her stamps I didn't have, so my choice was made!

Here is my journal page I made using that stamp

And the stamp I used was this..
Now it's your turn to just use one stamp and show us what you have made over at the stampotique designers challenge blog, there is a link to this on the right hand side of my blog. You could be the lucky winner of stampotique vouchers to buy rubber stamps!

What's on my work desk Wednesday

This is how my desk looks now....
Not much on it really!!! However a few hours ago it looked like this....
And here is a close up...
I had to have a bit of a tidy up as I didn't have enough space !
Now you can see I have sprayed the 12 x12 MDF board that was work in progress last week, well I didn't like the spray job I gave it, far too harsh pink, I also added some Inka gold but still too strong!
I got out the gesso and covered most of it up and it ended up looking like this a more gentle pink!
Which I think I prefer! It has been a learning lesson, it was my first attemp, I hope to try something similar again, and put my learning into operation! However I just made it for the fun of it, so that's ok!
I did a page in my little journal all very bright...
And I did a page in my Lara journal
Was really pleased with the texture I got on the two pages, here it is close up
There is also a couple of my big albums on the table which are my project life type Lara's first year albums. There are a couple of lap trays in a bag which I intend to personalise as gifts for Christmas. The pencil case with all my stamp carving stuff is sitting there just waiting to be used...... Never Enough time to do everything I want to do is always the issue, I'm sure many of us wish there were more hours in the day so we could achieve everything we need to do!

Now if you need to visit more crafty desks just click on the link on the right hand side of my blog further down marked Stamping Ground and Julia will explain all.
Thank you for visiting and leaving a comment I will try and return all visits

Inspirational post for Craft Stamper Magazine ........

It's great to see people showing there projects at the Craft Stamper Magazine " Make it Take it" blog!
There is still time for you to make a project and link it up to the Craft Stamper Magazine blog, there is a great prize to win of two D rings and a load of washi tape! Just click on the link here......http://craftstamper.blogspot.co.uk/2014/09/take-it-make-it-september-challenge.html
Here is another project I have made using stamping on tissue in my baby journal.
Here are a few step by step photos of how I made it and got all the texture!
Inked up plain white tissue paper with black and gold ink sprays and left it to dry
Then punched out some shapes and glued them onto my journal page all over
Then with a Matt medium glued the tissue over the journal page, covering all the punched images I had glued down.
Then I put the Matt medium all over the top of the tissue to seal it.
You can see it better here...
After it was dry I then used gold paint and did a little junk journalling around the outsides.
Once this was dry I added a little Inka gold to make highlights and a little more gold spray.
Next I stamped on plain white tissue with black archival ink and a stampotique rubber stamp called Daneils hearts.
After that I glued the stamped on tissue paper onto a sheet of music, then sealed it on top with more Matt medium.
Then I trimmed it and added a photo and glued that onto the journal
Then I used an off cut and added some chipboard letters I had painted black then put some Inka gold onto and did a little junk journalling around the outside, I then added this to the journal
This was then the result! I hope you like it
Thank you for looking and please leave a comment
Remember you can win this...
Just pop over to the blog......

Stampotique Designers Challenge ...164 Animal or Bird

It's Wednesday so it's a new challenge over at SDC. Sue is the host this week ( there is a link to her blog on the right of this post) and this is what she has to say about her challenge......

Napoleon once said that the English are a nation of shopkeepers. What he should have said is that we are a nation of animal lovers. Nearly everyone I know has got a cat or dog, a pet rabbit or bird, and I know that my Stampotique teamies have their pets too. So this week we're celebrating the fur and feathers and I challenge you to create something with either animals or birds. So put your best paw forward and bring it on.
Have fun!

So with that in mind I rummaged through my stamps and made this card...
To make this I used these two Stampotique rubber stamps

To get the shading on the bird I used a brush and water then kitchen roll to blot it off, thus removing the colour!
So it's over to you to make a project with animals or birds and show them to us at the SDC blog, there is a link to this on the right of my blog. Remember each month two lucky people win a gift voucher to buy stamps with !

What's on my work desk Wednesday

Here is my desk
And here it is from a different angle ...
So what have we here this week.... Starting on the left some little letters I have been using for a couple of ATC's I have made for a swap, that I have not taken a picture of, so will show you those next week!!! Behind that is a collage, I have been working on, here it is close up
It's still work in progress so I will show you the finished article next week, when it's all done!
At the back is a pregancy journal I was doing for my daughter but not quite finished it, another job that needs to be completed! I thought about it today and this page in particular ...
With Kate back in the news and having a second baby, I remembered how sick my daughter was with Hyperemesis Gravidarum, like Kate is now. Sadly people do not realise how ill you are with it only 3 out of 1,000 pregant women get this, my daughter lost 10% of her body weight and was hospitalised, it is so debilitating! I found a fellow WOYWW  friend, who's daughter was going through this as well, which helped..... So I need to get this journal finished!
There is a small woodern box which was given to me by a friend, need to have a think what I'm going to do with it! A selection of Stampotique rubber stamps of which one is for ATC's. A journal book as I did a journaling class on Saturday with Carol Fox, she is in Craft Stamper this month. Here it is work in progress......
I also made this card
And I made my first project for the Craft Stamper Magazine design team, "Make it Take it" challenge
This involved stamping on tissue, there is a seperate post with step by step instructions . There are a few other bits and bobs, feel free to have a look round.

Thank you for visiting my desk, if you wish to see other crafty desks, just click on the link marked Stamping Ground on the right a bit further down.
Please leave a comment and I will return your visit.
