STAMPOTIQUE Designers Challenge 175...........In the words of Edgar Allan Poe

This weeks host for the new challenge at the SDC blog this week is Kay. There is a link to her blog on the right hand side of my blog close to this post.

Kay says her challenge is simple, but requires some research. Just as many of the Stampotique originals artists design stamps that might be described as a bit "quirky" so to was Edgar Allan Poe a bit quirky. His quotes range from romantic to the melancholy and from the thoughtful to the murderous! The choice is yours all you have to do is combine a quote from Edgar Allan Poe with one or more stamped images.

So with this in mind I set about find a quote and combining it with some stampotique rubber stamps!
Here is a set of Project Life cards, I made, I hope Kay likes what I put together.......
Now it's over to you to join in the fun and show us what you make, just hop on over to the SDC blog and link your project up, remember there is a chance to win vouchers for stampotique rubber stamps!

Stampotique Designers Challenge 174 ...... Striped Background

This week Corrie is our host at the SDC blog, she has set us the challenged of a striped background!
You can find Corries blog link on the right hand side of this post.
Corrie says you can use ink, paint or pen, Whatever medium you like, just no printed paper, she wants us to make the stripes ourself! And have fun!
Here is what I made, a set od Project Life journalling cards.

I  got myself a sheet of blank paper and a selection of pink ink sprays, I mixed colours and then let each of the colours run down the page, when dry I added A light pink pan pastels to the background then using a stencil and a darker shade on top in patches through the stencil
I used four Stampotique rubber stamps

I stamped and coloured and cut out the images

Then stuck them down added a bit of glitter and here is my set of PL cards!

Now it's over to you you to make some stripes and join in the fun!

Craft Stamper Magazine ... Make it Take it .....inspiration

Have you joined in the fun at Craft Stampers Magazines, Make it Take it blog yet?
This month they have asked us to use a non christmas stamp and make something christmas with it!
Here is what I made And the home made stamp I made it with !

For a while I have been wanting to have a go at carving my own stamps.... So I thought I would give it a go and since it's the first time I have done this I thought I would keep it simple ! I cut a triangle shape out of the blue foam then using the heat gun warmed the surface of one side and then stamped a pattern into it, so that gave me a triangle with a pattern on!
Had a little try to make sure it stamped ok!!!!!!

Then set to work on making something Christmassy....
Put it all together and here is my Christmas tree decoration!

Now it's over to you remember there is a prize to be won from The Artistic stamper

STAMPOTIQUE designers challenge 173 ...............bling it out!

There is a new challenge at the SDC blog this week and France is our host, you can find a link to her blog at the right hand side of this post!
France said that for the longest time, bling was something she stayed away from, then suddenly she started to add touches of bling on almost every project and she loved it!
So for this weeks challenge she would like us to use some bling, be it shinny ink spray, glitters, iridescent paint, add some bling to your project!
So with this in mind I made this journal page ....
I made a bright sunny page as France said she wanted us to make something to lighten up the days that are getting shorter and darker now we are close to winter ! Hope you think it's bright and sunny France?
Now it's over to you to join in the fun and show us what you make by linking it to the SDC blog, there is a link on the right hand side of this post

STAMPOTIQUE Designers Challenge 172 Spotlighting

We have a new host this week over at the SDC blog its Arwen. A few months ago Arwen released her first set of rubber stamps for Stampotique! as Arwen set this challenge I thought I would use some of her new stamps! She says that artwork consists of many small details that make the whole! So she would like to see some spotlighting on your art work this week!
Arwen here is mine for you, I made a set of Project Life cards and here is two of them....

These are the stamps I used to make them

To get the back ground I dipped my PL cards in water with alcohol inks a form of marbling I have shown on a previous post then once dry stamped on them.

Then added my spotlighting

Well now it's over to you to have a go at spotlighting and show us your creations on the SDC blog!
