What's on my work desk this week!

Not going to win any awards for being neat and tidy this week am I ? Although I have been good and changed all the scrapbook layouts on my side bar this week!

Bit of a dumping ground really this week, I have actually being working on this little table in the sunshine, just outside the doors of my craft room in the shade.

I have been working on this layout, it's not finished yet, although not much left to do

I also decided it, as its got a little cooler, now was time to sort my crafting magazines, so I started on Monday night.... Putting them into piles etc. I have kept my magazines for the last ten years ish, so I have an assortment, who remembers Scrapbook magic? Scrapbook Inspirations? that 12x12 scrapbook magazine that didn't fit through the letterbox! I have had craft stamper on and off from volume 3 !!! Scrapbook magazine from volume 7!!!!! Rubber stamp madness, take ten, to mention but a few.....( and I did mean a few, of the many titles)

It will take me till Wednesday night to get it all finished but its heading in the right direction...

Well if your thinking why is she showing me this mess, just click on the link on the right of my blog marked stamping ground and all will be explained and you can go desk hopping round the world looking at 'crafty desks ' for hours!
Thank you for visiting please leave a comment and I will return and visit your desk ... Many thanks

T is for Tuesday

This is a new weekly post being run by Elizabeth over at
Alteredbooklover.blogspot.co.uk. I thought I might just join in!

Here is the little table I have been working on in the fresh air with my bottle of water by my side as its been so hot!

The little table is normally where I sit and have a drink as you can see the cup and bottles of water were pilling up!!!! I removed them and moved the table to the doors so as to work in a more cooled space, 32 is not a great crafting temperature!!!

What's on my work desk

Here is my desk this week!

That box of photos is still there as it has been for a few weeks!
There is my new journal, I have decided I will not do such 'messy' stuff in this one, keep it more for my stamping rather than painting. Like this page I have started in it!

I have coloured the flowers and leaves by first outlining with my Prisma crayons

Then using a blending stick and a product called Zest it blending solution, I blend the colour pencil using the blending stick and small circular motions till its all filled in.

Once blended in it looks like this

When colouring stamped images I find this better for me than using paints.

There is some Grunge paste, a new dylusions blue ink spray a couple of paperartsy paints, the new Scrapbook magazine with part 2 of my Heritage series in it.You can see some new stamps I purchased from the JOFY range ..... Love the flowers Jo draws!
I went to a workshop she ran on Sunday with a couple of crafty friends Kim and Tanya and made this using her stamps

I then see she had it on her blog, the blue paint called mermaid is a lovely shade!

What's on my work desk

My work desk this week !!!

To the left of the pictures is lots of flower making ... Here is a close up

My set of ball tools I use to mould my flowers some white centres I might use for the flowers. On the left is a birthday card I have. Made for my friend Jan it's her birthday tomorrow.here is a close up of the card!

Here is a little more to the right of the desk, there is a large box of all my gems a few punches, box of photos, top right is my wishi tape dispenser, standing up a new journal ready to start.

Hope that gives you a bit of an overview of my desk this week!

Normally I take the picture a little earlier in the day, but as its been so hot I thought I would have a lie down with the fan on after tea for half an hour..... Well three hours later I woke up!!!!! I am not the greatest lover of this heat a nice 23 is fine for me not 32!!!!!!!
So when I woke I took the pictures of my desk in a half sleep mood and also knocked over my button jar !

I will tidy it up tomorrow .......... Honest!

What's on my work desk this week

Well you will see from this picture below that the desk has remained somewhat like it was last week. The big blue album in the middle of my desk
Contains my daughters wedding pictures, there is some fabric to the left of it, my stamps are still there in the box, my big 12x14 Gelli plate is at the back waiting to be used!

Do you remember the large pile of photographs on last weeks post well ........... They are sorted and in the album, thanks to a project life kit!

I will show you the stages in a little series of photos to explain what I have done so far......first I sorted out the photos into groups that matched some of the cards in the mini set wedding

Here is a close up of the one saying Honeymoon, with all the honeymoon pictures next to it

Then I placed the photos into the protective sleeves and a selection of the cards into the slots ( there are slots for 4x6 cards or photos and smaller ones)

Here is a selection of the cards to give you an idea!

I carried on doing this and putting each protector I filled into the album

I also purchase some extra protectors that I put just photos in as you can see below.

I then used the project life protectors with the journalling cards every few pages in the album, I have left the journalling cards for the happy couple to fill in themselves.

So I kept doing this till the photographs had been used up!
Thus I now have an Album full of photographs.

Now the next stage is to select a few of my favourite pictures and turn them into 12 x 12 scrapbook layouts! Then fit them into the album in suitable places...... Job done!!!!!!

Also this week I recieved an ATC from Nan G, here it is below

I finished the last part of the tree part Heritage Scrapbooking series I have written, designed and photographed for Scrapbook magazine, the printed copy is on my desk at the side of the Album, pleased I have finished and achieved so much, just hope it has been enjoyed by the readers. Part 2 comes out at the end of July and the last one probably September I guess, I do hope my story inspires other to do as I have and Scrapbook there family history, I have enjoyed doing it so much!
