Stampotique Designers Challenge 136 Monochromatic

Tanja ( a link to her blog is on the right hand side of my blog) set us the challenge of making a project that was monochromatic, which meant we had to use one colour only!
This is not a simple as you think at first, so thanks Tanja for a great challenge!
Here is my project....

I made this tag all in hues of Blue!
Here are a few step by step photos of how I made this tag...first I turned all the elements I wanted Blue!

I then stamped all over this fabric flower with France Papillion's design cube #10022 from Stampotique.

Then I spray ink on paper and made a tag which I then embossed

Then then stamped, Stampotique I love my new dress # 6160 by Daniel Torrente, on some of the left over blue inked paper, stamped it with the design cube and cut out the dress.

I put holes all round the tag ready to make faux stitching.

Then put the cut out dress onto a pre stamped image of the same and added some ribbon to three buttons

Then hand wrote the words and inked round the edges and added them to the tag

Glued the flower and leaf and pin into place

Joined the holes to make faux stitching, added a little blue colour with pencils and added ribbon to the tag

Now I had a few bits and bobs I didn't use so I made a couple of ATC's with the left over bits and here they are, they are canvas ATC's

So..... Now it's over to you to have a go and make a Monochromatic project and post it on the Stampotique Designers Blog, remember you could be a top3 and you might be lucky and win a voucher for Stampotique Stamps ..... So just click on the link on the right marked Stampotique Designers Challenge and join in the fun.

What's on my work desk Wednesday

It's very dark outside, so my picture is sadly not bright and light!

Here is my desk, this picture was taken late evening Tuesday night! On the left you can see my inktense pencils, an old room fragrance bottle, it's rather heavy and good for putting a paint brush or two in. Couple of ink pads and some decorators tape, I have been using on a scrapbook page. A box of texture pastes and behind that a tag on my little stand.
Here is a close up of the tag....

It was a very simple tag to make, first I started with glossy card stock, then stamped these stacked suitcases #10011by France Papillion and the banner #10001is by her also!

I coloured the image in with my Marvy LePlumme pens

Then when the images were all coloured in, I got my pro markers and coloured the rest of the tag so no white was left.

Then I got a selection of stamps and stamped all over the tag with them.

Moving on from the tag you will see the scrapbook layout is still there, I've been thinking about what to do with it, while I have worked on other bits! Then my bag to the right and in front of it is a little ATC I recieved in the post, here it is a little closer

This was sent to me from a fellow WOYWW friend and was the inspiration to do the tags I showed you above , so a big thank you to Kim, you can visit her blog there is a link on the right hand side further down my blog. You can see my stamping mat in the middle and some images called carols flower by stampotique .Also on my desk you will see my mug of tea, here it is close up ....my daughter bought it for me and on it is a scan of my grandaughter, I am so looking forward to her arrival soon!

Working from left to right ....
On the chair is a draw of rubber stamps, moving onto the table on the left is my Prisma pencils, a box of pens and stencils and blending fluids, behind them a blue bowl, it's blue because I have been inking up some bits in it, here it is in action....

I was making a variety of bits and bobs blue! I decided to make some ATC's of of canvas, here they are .....

Here is a little sneak of one of the ATC's.....

They are now in the mail, one going to the USA and the other to Canada!
Now moving past the blue bowl you will see a tag at the back, here it is close up .....

I have made it to go on a gift for my daughter, she goes on maternity leave at the end if this month, I think the stampotique stamp of a pregnant lady is super cute!
Now you will also see in the middle of my desk at the back a Scrapbooking layout I'm working on, here it is up close....

Not sure what my plan is yet, but I'm sure it will come to me!

Stampotique Designers Callenge

Well the challenge I set over at the Stampotique Designers Challenge blog ( a direct link is on the right hand side of my blog)has run it's time and now it's Kathi's turn to set the new challenge!

Kathi's challenge is called Perfect Pairs

Here's what she says....
It's almost Valentines Day. Valentines Day makes me think of couples, so my challenge is perfect pairs.
Use 2 of an item so things are in pairs, This can be 2 stamped images, 2 embellishments, 2 layers of patterned papers, 2 colours etc.
See how many pairs you can use in your project, just be sure to use at least one perfect pair!

So get stamping and make a project and join in and link your stamped project to the challenge..... You could be chosen as a Top3 or even win a prize, you can never have enough stamps!!!!

Here is my project for Kathi's challenge

I have done a few step by step pictures so you can see how I made this project.

First I stamped Little Hoo Hoo #4023 and carols flower small #9166 and cut them out.

Then I stamped Stacked suitcases #10011 designed by my team mate France Papillon( have you seen her project I'd craft stamper this month)

Sprayed it with a mix of water and glycerine and screwed it up

Then I unscrewed it and dried it and inked it up to make it look weathered and cut it out.

After this I stamped the stacked suitcases again this time on suede

Then I combined the two onto the tag I had made using my Gelli plate and cutting a tag from the paper.

Then I inked round the letters

Inked the flowers and using a ball tool moulded the petals

Then glued the two stamped images together and added a button.

Then put all elements into position and glued them down. Put two textures of ribbon together on the parcel and added the tag .

Hope you like my gift and tag!

What's on my work desk Wednesday

My desk.... I have still not cleared anything away as I have been too busy crafting! There are wooden stamps, project life, Gelli plate backgrounds, trimmers, dies etc etc

What have I been up to.................
Well you can see my calendar journal in the middle of my desk, that has taken up a bit of time getting February done!
Here is a close up

Here is a few step by step pictures of how I made it
Painted my three colours then put a little more white over the top with a roller ( with hindsight I should have used a bit more white )

Then I sponged over it with red

Then added a few circles and lines here and there and put a little red around the edges

Then stamped a selection of stampotique stamps, coloured them in and cut them out

Then punched out some hearts and inked them up, then laid out my pages and glued them down

That's February's journal calendar page done!

My stuff Is pilled high it's five or six items deep on the right, so I really will have to try and find some tidy up time.
